Guy with the ebike rental was very helpful and knowledgeable. His bikes are great, I managed to see everything he pointed out on the map he gave me, over a distance of 40km.

We enjoyed the shops. I went into 5 jewelry stores to get the (free) charms. It was raining the entire time but well worth it. It was cold, but it wasn't bad at all. Imo.

Excellent gift shops and snacks as soon as you get of the boat. Everything was clean and looked new, we grabbed some coffee and snacks and perused the giftshops while waiting on our bus to take us into town.

Sitka is beautiful, lots to see in this town. Interesting facts about Sitka… Sitka, Alaska, is a city located on Baranof Island in the southeastern part of the state. It's known for its stunning natural beauty, including rainforests, mountains, and coastal scenery. Sitka has a rich cultural history, blending Tlingit Native American heritage with Russian influences, as it was once the capital of Russian America before being sold to the United States in 1867. Some highlights of Sitka include: Sitka National Historical Park: The oldest national park in Alaska, known for its totem poles and historic significance, especially regarding the Tlingit and Russian conflicts. St. Michael's Cathedral: A Russian Orthodox church that symbolizes the city’s Russian past. Wildlife: Sitka is a great place for observing wildlife, including bald eagles, sea otters, and humpback whales. Outdoor activities: Hiking, kayaking, fishing, and exploring the Tongass National Forest are popular activities. The city's remote location gives it a quiet, laid-back atmosphere, making it a peaceful retreat for visitors looking to connect with nature.

We really enjoyed our time in Sitka. The weather was beautiful. There wasn't a long wait for the shuttle bus into town. We did some shopping before and after our excursion. Dave was our driver, and he was absolutely awesome. After our excursion, he dropped us off at the port to make sure we were on time returning...

Sitka is a beautiful place. If you get the opportunity I would highly recommend it. While you are there get a "duck Fart" shot or 3... Lol

Very welcoming people of this part of Alaska. Very organized. Food was amazing at the on site restaurant. I wasn't sure what to expect here, but really happy we visited and look forward to another visit in the future.

Not at lot at the actual cruise port. You must take a shuttle downtown to get to things to do. The shuttle required a reservation when we were here and they split us into 2 lines; those with and those without a reservation. The lines moved quickly and the shuttles were nice.
